Any member of Congress who participates in the illegal and unconstitutional act of "Deeming and Passing" in order to illegally confiscate private property of US Citizens without due process of law for the express act of income redistribution may have committed an act of Treason by their actions.

Those who commit an act of Treason during wartime are subject to criminal prosecution and if found guilty subject punishment up to and inclusing the death penalty.

Kevin was many things to many people. He was a respected athlete, good friend, respected collegue, brother, cousin, son, uncle, husband, and father to two sons.

He is remembered by many for his infectuous smile and sense of humor. I think that you can almost feel that in this image of him. He shared his positive, upbeat attitude with those around him and it rubbed off. Even after he has been gone, his smile still brings happiness to those left behind.

His focus in life was not in himself, but standing in the background, basking in the glow of others accomplishments. His pride was in his loving wife, his eldest son, his namesake son whom he never knew personally, his family and his friends.

Kevin was a gifted athlete. He enjoyed snow skiing, swimming, soccer, and lacrosse. Kevin was a great and valued friend. He took an interest in others' passions and was supportive of what they wanted to do in life. He also enjoyed sharing what he liked to do with others.

On Sept 11, 2009, please take a silent moment and reflect. Pray for those who perished, for those who were left behind, and to appreciate how lucky we are to have known friends, relatives, collegues, neighbors like Kevin and to have the blessings of what we have.

Life is a mircle. Kevin James Hannaford proves that statement is true.

Sometime today, September 11, 2009, take a few minutes and call your husband/wife and tell them that you love them; give your child an extra hug before you drop them at school; call your parents/grandparents just to say hi. These are simple acts that we let slip away from us. Do it for the ones you love; do it for yourself; do it in honor of the 2996 who left us to remember them as they were; most of all, take the time and just do it...

Death of the Capital Punishment

Attorney David Senior, lead counsel for Michael Morales, has succeeded in a manner that no other death penalty lawyer has. He put forth the argument to a sympathetic judge (the Honoroable Jeremy Fogel, Clinton appointee) of the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Senior's argument, in a nutshell, is that lethal injection using a 3 drug "cocktail" might possibly cause the person under sentence pain during the process. The pain, as the person's breathing / heart are stopped and the brain dies from oxygen deprivation might occur if the first drug is not sufficient enough to completely sedate the prisoner. This pain becomes "cruel and unusual punishment" and thus violating the prisoner's constitutional rights.

Judge Fogel method to resolve the impass forced the medical establishment into the capital case with modifications to Protocol 770 and thus, with one fell stroke of a pen, has put capital punishment on hold for the entire United States. 770 is a well thought out and oft reviewed and affirmed. It is the pattern for most states using lethal injection as a method of execution. I guess that Starrie Decisis is only an appropriate judicial philosophy for laws that liberals view as legal and just.

What everyone needs to consider is the following: when a human is going through natural death, they go through similar experiences as a prisoner who is being executed. If you are modestly aware of your surroundings (not fully sedated), you would be aware of and possibly feel pain as your brain goes through oxygen deprivation and dies.

As such, I postulate that:
1. Either natural death is in violation of the constitution as it is cruel and unusual "punishment" (price you pay for living) and should not be allowed.
2. Since the manner of suffering between natural death and execution by lethal injection are visited upon all without discrimination, then the suffering is not unusual and not cruel, so therefore is not unconstitutional.

The other point to consider is did Michael Morales ensure that his victim, 17 year old Terri Winchell, did not suffer as he raped, strangled (unsuccessfully), bludgeoned (repeatedly), and stabbed (repeatedly)? If he made sure that she was fully sedated and could not feel anything, then he should be given clemency and a life sentence. Since he did not, his right to a punishment free of cruel and unusual punishment is forfeited, along with his miserable right to existence.

Michael, may you feel as much, if not more pain that what you have caused the victims (including the surviving members of the Winchell family) ... may God grant you pardon, but put you in a place where you can ponder your many sins...and that place, in my heart I know, is not heavenly.

1. Bush loves to pull the unexpected. Very few saw Roberts as the favorite.
2. Would put Boxer, Kennedy and all the libs in a tight corner. Callahan was elevated to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals with a 99-0 vote. How would the libs explain that Callahan was not qualified to sit on the SCOTUS after that kind of approval.
3. Is female and hispanic.
4. Is conservative.
5. Is from California.
6. Is a former prosecutor (in San Joaquin County).
7. Has judicial experience.
8. Would push Howard Dean into a apoplectic fit.

Unlike earlier wars, nearly all Arlington National Cemetery gravestones for troops killed in Iraq or Afghanistan are inscribed with the slogan-like operation names the Pentagon selected to promote public support for the conflicts. Families of fallen soldiers and Marines are being told they have the option to have the government-furnished headstones engraved with "Operation Enduring Freedom" or "Operation Iraqi Freedom" at no extra charge, whether they are buried in Arlington or elsewhere. A mock-up shown to many families includes the operation names.
The vast majority of military gravestones from other eras are inscribed with just the basic, required information: name, rank, military branch, date of death and, if applicable, the war and foreign country in which the person served.
Families are supposed to have final approval over what goes on the tombstones. That hasn't always happened.
Nadia and Robert McCaffrey, whose son Patrick was killed in Iraq in June 2004, said "Operation Iraqi Freedom" ended up on his government-supplied headstone in Oceanside, Calif., without family approval.
"I was a little taken aback," Robert McCaffrey said, describing his reaction when he first saw the operation name on Patrick's tombstone. "They certainly didn't ask my wife; they didn't ask me." He said Patrick's widow told him she had not been asked either.
"In one way, I feel it's taking advantage to a small degree," McCaffrey said. "Patrick did not want to be there, that is a definite fact."

Is it coincidence that AP chose to cover this story and refer to this family? I think not. It is another case, my opinion, of AP publishing an Op / Ed piece under the guise of a news story. This family is suffering a great loss and my heart goes out to them. But they are using this loss for political capital. That is where my sympathy for this greiving family ends.

Nadia McCaffery is interviewed here (from KTVU website) talking about her intent to join Cindy Sheehan in Crawford for the "protest"... She is also a member of the GSFP, a "non-profit" organization that is acting more like a political group, which might be in violation of its non-profit status from the IRS. Gold Star Families for Peace is a front group founded by Cindy Sheehan to achieve a political means to ending the war.

I fully support the President and his administration in the prosecution for the war on terror. I make no bones about it. It is such a shame that Nadia, Cindy and a few others are using the names and memories of the loved ones, ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice, for political means. I grieve for their loss and am grateful for the gift of freedom that their loved ones, along with so many others throughout history have given so that we all can have the freedom to debate the GWOT.

If it wasn't for the sacrifice, none of us would be able to have that ability. What say you?

Whenever MSM is howling, then something good must be happening. Now that the Catholic Church has a new Pope, one who stands by his traditional values and beliefs, you can bet the MSM and the Left Wing Moonbats will do everything that they can to throw mud on him.

He is a traditionalist and he has a tough job. I believe that he is up to it. BXVI is a man who believes in something following a man who helped give the world something to believe in again. Faith is believing in completely something that cannot always be seen. God rest you JPII and God Bless and protect BXVI and grant him a long and healthly life.

The independent panel investigating the authenticity of the Killian Memos after looking at an analysis from recognized Typewriter expert Peter Tytell, concluded the following:

"Although his [Tytell] reasoning seems credible and persuasive, the Panel does not know for certain whether Tytell has accounted for all alternative typestyles that might have been available on typewriters during that era." (Refer to Appendix 4 of the report, pg 7, footnote 16)

So, because some one some where could have hand cast and manufactured their own daisywheel without the knowledge of the foremost typewriter expert in the world, the panel cannot conclusively assess the authenticity of the Killian Memos.

This sounds like nothing more than a week argument put forth by lawyers, carrying out their fiduciary responsibility to their clients to provide legal counsel.

Who paid for the “independent panel”? CBS.
What are the professions of the authors? Lawyers.

Hillary - A Dire Warning...

The leftiest big city on the Left Coast was Clinton country on Monday, with former President Clinton continuing his blockbuster book tour and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton headlining a Democratic fund-raiser where she vowed to defeat the Republicans' "extraordinarily ruthless machine."

Headlining an appearance with other Democratic women senators on behalf of Sen. Barbara Boxer, who is up for re-election this year, Hillary Clinton told several hundred supporters -- some of whom had ponied up as much as $10,000 to attend -- to expect to lose some of the tax cuts passed by President Bush if Democrats win the White House and control of Congress.
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

Keep this in mind in 2008. If Hillary wins, our economy will lose...

Many pajamahadeen have been asking why people still have their jobs at CBS News (Rather & Heyward).

The larger questions still remain...if the documents are truely forgeries (and I believe that they are), then who created them? How did they get into Burkett's hands? Why did Mary Mapes know with certainty that a story in development in the Spring of 2004 would air in September 2004?

What's Good for the Goose

It seems like anytime there is an organization that has been established for many years, and that organization is male only, some do gooding organization comes along to break the "barrier" to equality to admit women. So it must come as a shock that there are still 64 women's only colleges. The Board of Trustees for Wells College in Aurora, NY has voted to admit men in the Fall of 2005. Two female students of Wells have filed suit to keep the school women only.

You might be surprised to hear me admit this, but I say, more power to the women! If women choose to attend a single sex institution or organization, I say that is great. I respect their decision and agree with their right to keep the tradition alive. In the same light, I hope that the same respect will be shown to men's only organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, Augusta National Golf Club, and others.

What are your thoughts?

Boxer Saves the Day

Thank God we have the Hon. Barbara Boxer looking out for our needs! It seems that Sen. Boxer now believes that there is an issue with BCS College Football Championship process worrysome enought to direct a letter detailing her thoughts about the University of California football team's exclusion from the BCS this year.

Sen B. - Get a clue. Life is not always fair ... there can only be so many teams fighting for the National Championship. Since we do not have a playoff system, things will never work out to everyone's satisfaction.

I have an idea...why don't you focus on more pressing issues ... say the message your party takes to the electorate...

Merry Christmas Target

Many of you have probably heard about the fiasco surrounding the decision by Target, made earlier this year, to exclude any solicitors from approaching any guests patronizing Target Stores. This decision was made, in all likelyhood, with much thought about the consequences.

Target has been a good corporate citizen, donating many millions of $ each year to a variety of worthy causes. As a long term guest of Target, and yes, I enjoy shopping there, I have a suggestion for Target. Why doesn't Target make a donation to the Salvation Army in the amount of $10,000,000. This would offset any losses that the Salvation Army is reporting because they are not able to canvass in front of Target. It would also demonstrate that Target does care, about what its guests want (not to be bothered by a lot of people asking for money, signatures, etc while I am trying to shop), while caring for the less fortunate ...

If you agree with this, please send an email to guest.relations@target.com. Let them know that you would support a donation to the Salvation Army as a way to resolve this issue and move on to a more pleasant issue, like what the heck are we going to get our parents for Christmas this year?

Salute to the Common Man

Russell Mahlenbrock died on Dec 3, 2004. Many people died that day. What makes Russell so special? Russell was a soldier in the US Army doing what he believed in. He laid down his life in a cause that he he so aptly thought described in the words of Toby Keith's song "American Soldier".

As a last wish, Russell wrote a letter to his fellow soldiers:

Dear 1st Squad,
If you’re reading this, then I’ve died for our country. I just hope it wasn’t for nothing.
After the IED went off yesterday, I wanted to write this in case something happens to me. There are a few more letters that I’d like you to give my wife and family.
I’d like to have a military funeral, but, if you can work please make sure that Toby Keith’s “American Soldier” is played at the ceremony in addition to the bagpipes. If they won’t let it happen, that’s ok, thanks for trying…...

The least that we can do for Russell is to try to get this song played across this great land of ours. His funeral is on 12/15/2004 at 1:00 pm. Call your local radio station, tell them about this true story and request that they play this song for Russell, for all our troops and their families. They need our love and support ... now and always.
